Chinese sleeper, or Amur sleeper (Perccottus glenii) is a freshwater fish of monotypic genus Perccottus, Odontobutidae family. The fish name is sometime misspelled as glehni or glenhi in biological literature.
Originally it was native to Amur River basin. Later it was introduced to fresh water rivers of the whole northern Eurasia including much of Russia, Belarus, Ukraine, Poland, north-east of China and northeast of Korea.
It prefers to live in stagnant rivers and bogs. It eats animals, including other young fish and gnatworms.
